OUR MISSION

The mission of the Georgia Producers Alliance is to advocate on behalf of Georgia cotton and peanut producers, to promote the continued stability and growth of producers,  to foster communications about Georgia peanut and cotton production to the public and policymakers, and to engage in all lawful activities attendant to a business league as defined in Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our Mission

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of cotton and peanut producers who have formed an advocacy group, whose goal is to collectively protect the interest and to expand the line of communication between producers, policy makers, and the general public.

We feel that it is imperative that we form an alliance that can be proactive as opposed to reactive in regards to the many challenges that arise within the sphere of production agriculture.

At no time in the history of our country has production agriculture been faced with as many obstacles as now. Payment limits, reduced program funding, restrictions and regulations, water issues, natural disasters, etc. are obstacles producers are faced with each and every day. This group is designed to ENHANCE communication between producers and policy makers. A collective voice brings a greater likelihood of accomplishing our collective goals.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

The Georgia Producer’s Alliance (GPA) is unique in that its’ goal is to collectively represent Georgia cotton and peanut producers together. While many other organizations represent one commodity sector of the industry and then many different levels within that particular industry, it is the goal of the GPA to be exclusively engaged with the issues that directly affect producers.
